Hi, I’m Chris Tomkinson, a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor with Driving 2ition.

I began my journey to become a driving instructor in 2023, completing my instructor training with Driving 2ition before qualifying and joining the team as an ADI.

​

Having trained within Driving 2ition from the beginning, I’ve developed my approach around the same client-centred coaching principles and standards that we use throughout the school.

I provide professional manual driver training in a dual-controlled Audi A3 S line across North Staffordshire and Cheshire East.

My approach to driver training is calm, patient and supportive. Learning to drive is different for everyone, so I believe lessons should develop at a pace that works for the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

​

I want clients to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning from their experiences. As confidence develops, I encourage clients to take more responsibility for their driving, make their own decisions and become increasingly independent behind the wheel.

Lessons are structured around developing the skills that matter both for the driving test and beyond, including observation, planning, judgement, vehicle control and managing risk.

For me, passing the driving test is an important milestone, but the bigger goal is helping each client develop into a safe, confident and responsible driver for life.

I’m fully qualified, DBS checked and approved by the DVSA.
